CQC's Essential standards of quality and safety come into force

The Care Quality Commission's Essential Standards of Quality and Safety came into effect today. This has meant a new system of regulation for adult social care and independent health care providers. All home care providers have been required to register with CQC under the new regulations.

Ladybird Care is pleased to confirm that it has completed registration and received a notification of decision from CQC confirming their approval. This means Ladybird Care can continue to offer its full range of home care services (including providing support for adults with specialist conditions) across the North East.

Under this new system of regulation, people who use NHS, adult social care or independent health care services can now expect all registered providers to meet the same set of essential standards of quality and safety. CQC will monitor providers to ensure that they meet the new standards.
