Training and Development

The quality of care and support clients receive is dependent upon the skills of their carers. Training needs to be structured to deliver specific, practical training tailored to the needs of the individual carer and the clients that carer supports.

As a company, our training objectives are:

  • To have the best quality staff in the industry
  • To achieve NVQ/QCF2 in all staff at the earliest point in time possible (we maximize the training opportunity of classroom sessions by training in multiple qualifications at the same time where there is overlap)
  • To reinforce the Ladybird Care brand with employees that we are serious about being the best and that care workers are valued professionals in the front line of delivering that quality service
  • To offer career progression through training and experience to staff following paths in management or in care
  • To continuously improve the quality of care provided by encouraging all staff to continuously develop their skills as professional carers or care managers

All Carers undergo a rigorous induction programme delivered in conjunction with our training partner, Registered Training Organisation. New employees have to attend our induction-training course before they commence work. Care managers assess all carers on their ability to understand our policies and procedures and how to care for someone at home safely and effectively.

It is our policy to continually train and supervise all employees during their employment. We continually invest in the professional development of our staff and also provide access to a range of specialist training to meet any complex needs of our clients.
